Getting into a role is one hell of a job for actors at this age. The growing awareness of fans about how their favorite actors do their work and get themselves prepared for the role has ended up in a trend of fans demanding actors who do their most to perform their roles- the stars of a major production likeThe Last of UsTV series is one of them.
Considering the fact that the HBO Max TV series is based on a popular zombie apocalypse game, fans would expect that the actors have done a playthrough of the game at least once to really know their characters, seems like Nick Offerman wasn’t too bothered- he was playing another game!

Nick Offerman Was Playing Banjo-Kazooie Instead Of The Last of Us
Funny thing is,Nick Offermanwas never meant to play a part inThe Last of Usat all. The role was awarded to a musical-based actor Con O’Neill but Offerman came in due to scheduling conflicts that the former was caught up in.
Regardless, he gave in a pretty memorable experience in the TV series as Bill, the survivalist who lives with another survivalist named Frank in an isolated town. TheParks and Recreationstar would’ve been expected by fans to have some ground knowledge of the game, at least a playthrough of the original video game as mentioned above, but he does not.
Instead of devoting his time to learning the themes of the TV series through the videogame, Offerman ended up directing his attention towards playing an old classic in videogames-Banjo-Kazooie.

During an appearance onJimmy Kimmel Live, the 52-year-old actor gave a quick no to a question by Kimmel asking if he had playedThe Last of Usor not. Instead, he ended up telling a story about how he never picked up any other video game after playing Rare’sBanjo- Kazooie-
“I decided I’m never going to do that again. Thankfully, because games have gotten so good… that I think I’d be in a basement and I wouldn’t even be going to audition for shows like [The Last of Us].”
Good for you Offerman, will fans be seeing him in future episodes of the hit HBO Max TV series?

Nick Offerman has ended up getting a positive reaction for at least playing a game of equal stature, although he did it involuntarily.
