The director ofRogue One, Gareth Edwards, hasn’t had the chance to watch theStar Warsspin-off seriesAndor, starring Diego Luna and Andy Serkis, recently and it’s unlikely he will anytime soon. With his focus on his latest projectThe Creatorreleased in September, he has been too occupied to catch up on the plethora of shows hitting the screens includingAndor.

Why Gareth Edwards Hasn’t Watched Andor Yet?

During a recent interview withScreen Rant,Gareth Edwardsopenly shared that he hasn’t had the opportunity to watch the show that acts as a prequel to his movie,Andor, which came out in 2022. He said,

“Okay, full disclosure, we finished [The Creator] on Friday. I have not seen it. I have not seen any TV. I’ve not seen any of the Disney+ anything.”

He continued,

“The only thing that I’ve seen is the ILM documentary, the Light of Magic, which is a phenomenal documentary, but I haven’t had a chance. I’m sure I’ll get back to you about it, but I saw the trailer when it came out, we were shooting at Pinewood at the time, and it looked fantastic. It’s in, obviously, very great hands, and I’m excited for everybody that’s involved.”

Despite the anticipation and buzz surrounding theStar Warsseries, Edwards confessed that he has been occupied with other projects especially his latest oneThe Creator,and hasn’t found the time to delve into the latest addition to the franchise.

Despite receiving mixed responses, the overall score remains relatively positive, with a current standing of 67% on Rotten Tomatoes, indicating a promising reception for the new flavor in town.
