With the show reportedly getting renewed for a fifth season, it’s evident that the creators are confident in Liam Hemsworth, who is set to replace Cavill as Geralt of Rivia moving forward.

Known for working onThe Witcher,Wednesday,You, andThe Continental, UK casting director Sophie Holland recently reflected on the future of Netflix’sThe Witcher.Although she refused to comment onHenry Cavill‘s situation, Holland explained that she is pretty optimistic about the show’s future withLiam Hemsworthat the forefront. And considering her comments onThe WitcherSeason 4 and 5, it seems despite the fans’ criticisms,The Hunger Gamesstar is here to stay. She said,

“We’re just about to start filming on season four with Liam Hemsworth and there will be a short gap then we go straight into season five… I really look forward to seeing what Liam brings. He has a big fan base. Season four will be a nice mix of new characters and returning faces.”

But she isn’t the only one who is optimistic about the show’s future without Henry Cavill at the forefront, as Francesca actress Mecia Simson has a similar viewpoint to Sophie Holland.

Even though the exit of Cavill from the role was a hard pill to swallow, she believes that his exclusion wouldn’t be a major impact on the series moving forward. She said,

“And I think what comes next… there’s going to be more exciting things that are going to happen. I think the show is still going to be great”
