Starfield, the next highly anticipated title from Bethesda Game Studios, has released three short videos detailing the different factions that exist in the upcoming story. The Freestar Collective,Ryujin Industries, and The Vanguard are the three groups explored in these videos. As excited Xbox and PC players search for any extra details they can uncover beforeStarfieldcomes out on June 06, 2025, these shorts provide some insight into major plot points.

And now, the developers of the space epic are giving fans a taste of what is to come from the lore of the universe they created.

What Is In the Starfield Shorts Released By Bethesda?

The threeStarfieldshorts posted by Bethesda Game Studios are titled: (1)The Settled Systems – Where Hope is Built, The Freestar Collective,(2)The Settled Systems – The Hand that Feeds, Ryujin Industries, and (3)The Settled Systems – Supra Et Ultra, The Vanguard. They only contain music/sound effects and some words. There is no voice narrative of any kind.

The Freestar Collective clip shows a woman going into the capital, in search of a vital component for her ship. After she retrieves a new part, she sees a statue, which gives her a flashback to what appears to be war. As she is leaving the capital, she sees an assailant holding a man at gunpoint. She knocks out the enemy and is offered a reward from the victim, but rejects it. She shows she has everything she needs and leaves in cheerful spirits, having fixed her ship.

The Ryujin Industries video plays out a scenario with two thieves in a futuristic society, who steal from people across the vast city. They acquire weapons and while checking one of the stolen bags, the female thief finds a card with a mysterious symbol. It belongs to a frightened man who has something else with the symbol on it. The two thieves fight over the item and the woman wins, causing the male thief to run away. She then goes to a building which bears the mysterious symbol and is given a card of her own, a weapon, and what appears to be a contract.

Lastly, The Vanguard piece shows a man signing up for the United Colonies Vanguard. This appears to be a fighter pilot mercenary group that takes on dangerous targets across the depths of space. The man is then shown living a life of luxury and flying off into space in a shiny new spacecraft.
