Scouting characters is an important feature of Umamusume Pretty Derby. There are a total of 27 different playable horse girls, each sporting different stats, levels, and skills. Depending on how you train each of these characters through their career modes will ultimately show results through their races. To unlock these characters, you will be using the scout feature.

Scout Feature in Umamusume Pretty Derby
You can buy trainee Umamusume Scouts by using Carats that you purchase or win as rewards. The scouts you win range from a rarity of one star or higher. If you win a scout who is already part of your collection, it will instead convert into a goddess statue. These goddess statues can later be traded for star pieces in the shops. You will find this option inside the shop menu from the home screen.
Support Card Scout works in the same fashion as the trainee Umamusume scouts, except that you receive Cleats as compensation for duplicates. Collecting 200 exchange points for either the trainee or support scout cards helps you exchange them for any of the available scouts of that category in the shop. You will receive one exchange point for each scout, regardless of whether they are original or duplicates.
Exchange Points
you may choose to spend or save these exchange points. You will be able to store them until the end of their availability period, as seen on the main page of the scout banner. Once the availability period ends, your exchange points will reset to zero. You will instead be compensated with a clover each for every unused point. You can use clovers by exchanging them to receive items from the shop.
