Before the release of the first season of the historical drama, Ludwig was seen in the first film ofThe Hunger Gamesseries alongside the lead starJennifer Lawrence. And to play the role of the main antagonist of the first film, he had to make sure he looked the part. Therefore, to get himself into peak physical shape and conditioning, he took it upon himself to train until he achieved the desired results.

And to do so, he took the help of an ex-U.S Navy S.E.A.L, who was tasked to get him in form. From here on out, Ludwig trained daily for four hours on average, even while shooting for the film. This helped him to look and play the part of the villain, and he executed it to perfection by leaving us with a lasting impression. The result, mixed with the performances of other talented stars like Chris and Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, and many others, the film grossed a whopping $694 Million worldwide, and lead to the continuation of the film, which bloomed into a successful franchise.
