“But there’s a relief [that it’s over]. It wasn’t all pleasant. It was hard playing that role. The makeup process was beating me down. And I just don’t know if I want Drax to be my legacy…”

Over the years, trilogies have earned the reputation of presenting the worst film of the franchise but not Marvel as they have given their fans some of the best trilogies for Captain America, Thor, and Spider-Man, and with reference to the actor’s confidence, they are not going to stop, keeping their fans hyped up for the third film.

It’s just so much better, so much deeper. It’s so much more personal. And there’s such a massive inspiring message to this film, but I think it’s going to be the best Guardians. I think unlike a lot of franchises, we’re leaving with our best. We haven’t been watered down as we’ve gone along, but I think we’re leaving with our best film.”

Can Fans Expect Dave Bautista in other Films?

A few years ago, when Dave Bautista was in the Justice Con 2021, the actor talked about playing the role of Bane from DC Comics. However, the actor had a change of heart, because James Gunn was rebooting the DCU and he needs to start from scratch, which was a good decision because the Co-CEO has a plan for the next 10-15 years. Since playing Bane is not a walk in the park, it would be better for an actor who could do justice to the character

“I think for the DC Universe to be revived, you need to start from scratch, and I think you need to start with younger actors. You need to start to plan for the next 15 years, and I just don’t think you can do that with me. And I understand that. And, also, I have to say that I appreciate that because I don’t want to play a character that I can’t bring justice to it.”

“I don’t think at this point in my career that I can bring justice to Bane anymore. I just don’t know if I could handle the physical part, and I don’t think I would have the longevity to plan ahead for films. So, I just don’t know if I’d be that guy.”

Even though Dave Bautista will not be in superhero films, he will be working in different films to improve his caliber as an actor and make him more versatile as an actor.

“Honestly, I could give a f*** [about being a movie star]. I don’t care about the spotlight, I don’t care about fame. I just want to be a better actor. I want respect from my peers. I don’t need accolades—I really don’t, man. It’s about the experience, about knowing that I accomplished something.”

Even though the actor will not be a part of any superhero films, the actor will continue to gain fame as long as he is on the right path of acting and making name for himself.
