Known for starring as the Marvel superhero Ant-Man in the MCU, Paul Rudd returned to the silver screen in the third installment of theAnt-Manseries. The threequel, however, underperformed and became the lowest-grossingAnt-Manmovie with a $476 million worldwide collection. While promoting his 2023 film, the actor took the role of‘Agony Ant-Man’during an interview on BBC Radio 1, as he attempted to solve his listeners’ problems.

However, he was surprised to hear the familiar voice of his long-time friend, who called him out for letting her know that he was in town.

Paul Rudd Was Pranked by His Long-Time Friend
Paul Rudd joinedBBC Radio 1to promote his 2023 filmAnt-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.During his appearance on the show, he got a prank call from his friend of more than 20 years,Olivia Colman. The Oscar-winning actress asked him what he would do if a long-time friend of his“who doesn’t live in England, but he’s come to England”had not even informed him about it.
“Oh my God. Oh no,”the actor initially responded. She further asked him how he would feel if he visited a friend on a trip to America and had spare time to have a cup of tea with his friend before adding,“Would you be offended if they didn’t do the same back to you.”

As theCluelessactor said that he always gives people the benefit of the doubt, Colman revealed herself and shared that she planned the prank with the show’s host, Greg James. Surprised Marvel star said that he was“actually sweating”by the time Colman revealed herself and called the prank “brilliant.”
The two friends also revealed that they have known each other for over 20 years and also talked about the play they did together in the U.K., and they have remained good friends since then. The 54-year-old actor also apologized to his friend for not informing her about his visit to London.

Paul Rudd’s Son Thought He Worked in a Movie Theater

The actor shared that the confusion began after his son saw a poster of one of his films at a local theatre and believed that he worked there. He shared that he never actually explained or corrected his son about his occupation. However, as he grew older, he realized what his father actually did.“I think when he was 15, he finally put it all together,”he shared during his appearance onSunday Today With Willie Geist.
