How Soon Will X-Men Arrive in the MCU?
A report atDeadlinestates that Marvel Studios is prepared to meet with writers and receive pitches for the upcoming relaunch of theX-Mensuperhero team into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The first meetings may take place in the upcoming weeks and may go into the New Year.
Arriving in May 2024,Deadpool 3will be the first official standalone (confirmed) mutant movie within the MCU.Marvel is expected to generally reboot theX-Menonce they fully cross over into the MCU, now that parent company Disney owns both studios.
Additionally,Deadpool 3will feature a large number of X-Men characters that we have already seen in the MCU.
WillDeadpool 3bring an end to the previousX-Menseries before the reboot? Will certain characters and storylines be allowed to continue in case Marvel decides to revisit them for further crossover and multiverse events? Though most of this will take some time to become clear, fans appeared excited that the X-Men characters would finally make a permanent appearance in the MCU.
