Henry Cavill Feels Privileged to Play Superman Again
Henry Cavillconfirmed his comeback as Superman with a short video. TheMan of Steelstar shared a video saying, “I wanted to wait the weekend before posting this because I wanted to give you all the chance to watch Black Adam. But now that plenty of you have, I wanted to make it official that I am back as Superman.”
TheTudorsactor has been sharing his thoughts and ideas about how he wants to play the character in the future. He has made it clear that he wants to play a more joyful Man of Steel. In his recent interview with Deadline, the actor shared how he held on to the character after his last appearance in Justice League.
“As an actor, you have to learn that there are things out of your control, no matter what you may think, no matter how your performance was, no matter what factors were not in your control in the first place, no matter how the audience feels,”Cavill shared.
TheEnola Holmesstar also shared that he held on to the character very gently as he had no idea if would get the opportunity to play the character again or not. He also shared that it was important for him to get this opportunity and he feels, “very privileged to have that opportunity now.”
Following the release ofJustice League, rumors had that Warner Bros. was planning aBlack Superman. The film was expected to be a J.J. Abrams reboot and rumors suggested that Michael B. Jordan would replace theDawn of Justicestar as Superman in the reboot.

Warner Bros Still Working on The Black Superman Reboot
At the time of the release ofZack Snyder’s Justice Leaguein 2021, rumors started about the studio developing aBlack Supermanreboot. The movie was said to be produced by J.J. Abrams and written by Ta-Nehisi Coates.
As TheWitcherstar was getting ready to appear as Superman once again, the studio was reportedly planning a story focused on the Black Superman withMichael B. Jordan. However, fans were not ready to see any other actor playing the last son of Krypton as they claimed that Cavill is the natural fit for the character.
There were also reports that suggested Black Superman would take place in an alternate universe. It was also believed that Michael B. Jordon will be Superman in Matt Reeves’ universe, where Robert Pattinson was set to play the dark knight in his upcoming movie,The Batman.

With the 2023The Flash, DCEU will explore the multiverse. It is believed that the multiverse would be the perfect opportunity to introduce the Black Superman, as he is expected to take place in an alternate universe.
Henry Cavill would continue playingMan of Steel. The studio has not yet revealed any further details aboutMan of Steel 2. However, with James Gunn taking the lead for the DCEU, fans are expecting that the CEO would work on the film.
