Jennifer’s Bodyactor shared in the interview with Variety, that he wanted to become part ofthe Marvel Cinematic Universewith the role of one of the most iconic characters Peter Quill. However, the actor is appreciative of the choice for the role.TheOCandShazam! Fury of the Godsactor Adam Brody had read for the role of Peter Quill inJames Gunn’s film, but he did not get the role.
In the interview, Brody talked about his failed audition for the character of Star-Lord,“I wanted that one.”
Brody shared that Chris Pratt was definitely a better fit for the character.
“He is bigger, stronger, but tonally, I really dug it.”
The actor finally got the chance to join the comic book genre with the filmShazam!He made an appearance at the end of the movie starringZachary Levi. He played a prominent role in the sequelShazam! Fury of the Godswas released in 2023. He plays the superhero version of Jack Dylan Grazer’s character Freddy Freeman, in the films.

Brody got the chance to portray himself as a superhero in the filmShazam! Fury of the Gods. He shared that he desired to play a comic book star for the past 16 years.
Brody tellsThe Hollywood Reporter,
“Well, I guess I scratched the itch. Sure. Maybe. But honestly, I would say that probably has more to do with my age than the breadth of the part itself. It was, and is, very fun and interesting to play in this space as someone who hadn’t done it before. Just the sheer scale of it is a kick, and I hope I’m not done with superhero stuff. But at the same time, if my interest has waned at all, it probably has more to do with my age than it has to do with having my fill by being Freddy.”
Shazam! Fury of the Godswas released in March 2023 and is available for streaming on Max.
